Serendata launches PeopleSignal™, one score for the people side of change
Serendata launched PeopleSignal™ today, a single score out of 10 that combines audience readiness, stakeholder engagement and change delivery to show how the people side of a change is going, at a glance.
Three parts, one score.
Audience Readiness measures how prepared audiences are to adopt the change across Awareness, Understanding, Commitment, Acquire and Apply. Scores are based on pulse surveys, workshops, and conversations with stakeholders/end users. Insights are created against phase targets, with Serendata expecting steady progress towards each target as the phase runs.
Stakeholder Engagement reflects how much stakeholders support the change, based on the Project Team’s read of their Commitment, Sentiment and Receptiveness. Each stakeholder is measured against the target for their quadrant, so the same rating can be fine for someone in Monitor and a real concern for someone in Manage Closely.
Change Delivery shows how implementation into the business is going, based on actions, impacts and milestones. It checks for actions that are overdue or late to start, impacts past their end date and milestones that have slipped.
The number shows the level. The colour shows where to look.
Every score falls into Red, Amber or Green. Each organisation sets its own thresholds, and they apply everywhere, so every project is scored the same way and can be compared fairly.
When something serious is found underneath a score, such as an overdue milestone or a Manage Closely stakeholder in the red, a warning flag drops the colour by one band. The drop carries all the way up, so one flagged stakeholder can turn a whole project Amber. Clicking the score shows exactly what fired the flag. This means you’ll never be caught out by a programme that looks green on the surface, only to become noisy and present escalating risks at go-live.
Where there is no score yet, PeopleSignal™ says why. Calibrating means data is still being entered or survey results are on their way, and it never pulls a score down. Provisional means part of the score is reporting and part is still calibrating. Excluded means something has been deliberately left out.
From a single stakeholder to a whole programme.
The PeopleSignal™ bar sits at the top of every project dashboard. Expand it to see the three parts that make up the score, or switch to Historical to look back at earlier scores. On the Programme page, the bar shows the programme’s score and the score for each project inside it.
The Impacts, Stakeholders and Audiences grids each have a PeopleSignal™ tab listing every row with its score and the scores behind it. In Processes, each process’s score sits in the Health column, built from its linked impacts, with High impacts counting the most.
