01Scenario

A global energy organisation was increasing process maturity across its European operations, introducing clearer ownership and governance of its Hire-to-Retire processes across France, the Netherlands and Italy.

As processes were redesigned, responsibilities were also changing. Employee onboarding activities previously managed locally were moving into a central People Operations team, while managers would now initiate requests for promotions, transfers and changes to working arrangements themselves.

The Process Excellence team had developed a structured approach to designing and governing processes, but implementation capability hadn't matured at the same pace. Impacts, actions, stakeholder engagement and readiness were still being managed through disparate spreadsheets with varied local approaches, making reporting difficult.

As they moved towards implementation, the team needed a repeatable approach to translate process design into what would actually change for the people responsible for executing it.

02Solution

The organisation established a consistent approach in Serendata for capturing impacts, impacted audiences, implementation actions and ownership as processes moved towards implementation.

Teams could translate redesigned ways of working into what would actually change for different roles, then assign the actions and stakeholders required to prepare those audiences.

Process Owners could track engagement, confidence and readiness alongside implementation progress, creating a scaleable, repeatable approach.

03Results

Serendata enabled the organisation to:

  • Build implementation maturity alongside process maturity
  • Translate redesigned processes into clear impacts on roles and teams
  • Improve ownership and accountability for implementation activity
  • Identify readiness and adoption risks earlier
  • Reduce reliance on fragmented spreadsheets and local approaches
  • Implement redesigned processes more consistently across the business

This supported consistent adoption of redesigned processes, reducing implementation risk and helping the organisation to boost business performance sooner.
